Archiving a project moves it out of the active project list without deleting its work. Use archive when a campaign, client review, or production round is finished but you still need the project history available later. Archived projects keep their assets, folders, comments, share links, reviewers, versions, and activity history intact. You can restore an archived project at any time.

When to archive a project

Archive a project when the work is no longer active but should remain available for reference:
  • A campaign or review round is complete
  • A client has approved the final assets
  • The project should stop appearing with active work
  • You may need to reopen the project later
Use Delete Project only when you want to remove the project from project lists and make the project view unavailable. Deleting is not the same as archiving.

What archive does not change

Archiving only changes the project’s lifecycle status. It does not remove project content.
  • Assets and folders stay in place
  • Comments and annotations stay attached to assets
  • Version history is preserved
  • Share links stay intact
  • Reviewers and activity history remain available
If you need to clean up individual files inside a project, manage those assets from the project Assets view instead. See Project Assets View for asset-level actions.
